The 11^th Annual Marathon Runners Mass will be celebrated at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 5:30pm.  Everyone participating in the New York City Marathon this year who wishes to receive a blessing is invited to attend. The celebrant will be the rector of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Monsignor Robert T. Ritchie.
 
The first Marathon Mass was held in 2007 in response to the large volume of requests for blessings in the days leading up to the New York City Marathon.
 
Monsignor Ritchie will invite all of the runners participating in the marathon to join him at the altar for a special blessing at the end of Mass.
