Alistair Reid enjoys a distinguished career as an international concert organist, pianist, and conductor. He currently serves as Director of Music at St. Joseph’s Church Yorkville on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He is Accompanist for the Canterbury Choral Society, an Assisting Organist at Trinity Church Wall Street, and has also served as a Visiting Artist in Residence at Bard College.

Alistair attended the University of Oxford, where he was Organ Scholar at Hertford College, Assistant Organist of the University Church, and Director of the Oxford Chamber Choir. He came to the United States after graduating from Oxford and served as Organ Scholar at Christ Church in Greenwich, Connecticut, while continuing his studies with Gerre Hancock at St. Thomas Church. He then served as Assistant Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral, Indianapolis and Associate Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral in England before returning to New York and assuming his current roles.

Alistair maintains a busy recital schedule and has performed in many prestigious venues around the world including Notre Dame de Paris, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the National Cathedral in Washington, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He made his Carnegie Hall debut with the Canterbury Choral Society in 2017 and his Lincoln Center debut with the American Symphony Orchestra and Bard Festival Chorale in 2019.
