The Sunday Organ Recital Series features organists from all over the world every season. Due to the high number of requests to play on our Series, there is currently an extensive waiting list.
Answers to frequently asked questions:
- Consideration for a recital performance date is by formal application
- There is a limited number of Sunday performance dates each concert season
- The Cathedral does not offer a stipend or financial assistance to guest organists
- Performers are solely responsible for all travel, accommodations, transportation to and from the St. Patrick's Cathedral, and meal expenses incurred
- Recitals take place from 4:45pm to 5:15pm, between the 4:00pm and the 5:30pm Masses
- Some recitals are scheduled from 6:30pm to 7:00pm
- Guest organists receive three hours of practice time (inclusive of set-up and actual-playing time) on the Gallery Organ on the Thursday evening preceding the date of the performance
