The History of St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Moments in Time: June 8, 1968: The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial.

When his brother Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1968, Senator Edward Kennedy delivered one of the most moving eulogies in our nation’s history. Here in this photo you will recognize so many of the political luminaries of the day, from President Lyndon Johnson to members of the Supreme Court, the Senate and Mayor John Lindsay.

Listen to this most moving of orations here.
